WATERLILIES

Burnby Hall Gardens in Pocklington, North Yorkshire hold one of the largest collections of waterlilies in Europe. Bridget Gillespie has started to create a pictorial record of these exquisite flowers, which have been inspiration to poets and painters. We hope to offer you soon on this website examples of her work to view and to order. Part of the proceeds will go to Burnby Hall Gardens, a registered charity.

WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE:

The success of our book, The Northern Pomona: Apples for Cool Climates, has encouraged us to prepare a companion volume, The Northern Pomona II: Old and New Pears, Quinces and Medlars. The book is being written by Peter Blackburne-Maze, Jim Arbury, Hamid Habibi and Elke Laver. It will be illustrated with forty original water colour paintings by award-winning botanical illustrator Bridget Gillespie. We expect the book to be on the market in 2010 and will be soon accepting subscriptions for it.
